  6.       This command allows you to chat interactively with one or more users
  7.       that are currently on the bulletin board system.

  9.    Subcommands

  11.       @X0BA               Available for chat.  @X03By default, you are available for
  12.                       chat when you log into the bulletin board system.  If
  13.                       you have made yourself unavailable for chat, you may
  14.                       make yourself available for chat again by using this
  15.                       subcommand.  When you logoff, your chat status will be
  16.                       used on your next call as well.

  18.       @X0BG               Enter group chat.  @X03Use this subcommand to begin
  19.                       chatting with other users on the system.

  21.       @X0BU               Unavailable for chat.  @X03When you use this subcommand,
  22.                       you make yourself unavailable for chat.  This means
  23.                       that other callers will not be able to call you into
  24.                       group chat.  When you logoff, your chat status will be
  25.                       used on your next call as well.

  29.       Node chat allows 2 or more people to communicate with each other across
  30.       separate nodes of the BBS.  When you are in chat, you may select any of
  31.       the available 255 channels to chat with other users.  If another user
  32.       is available for chat you may request that they chat with you.

  34.    Entering Chat Mode

  36.       When you execute the CHAT command and then select G for group chat you
  37.       will be put into group chat mode.
  38.  
  39.       You will then be asked what channel you would like to chat on.  If you
  40.       compare this to a CB, you can pick any of 255 channels to chat on.
  41.       Each channel could be talking about different subjects.  To get a list
  42.       of the currently active channels, you can press L at this prompt.  If
  43.       you were called into chat, PCBoard will automatically default to the
  44.       correct chat channel.

  46.       Next, depending on system configuration, PCBoard may begin by asking
  47.       you for the handle you would like to go by while you are in chat.  This
  48.       will default to your first name, but you can change this to any name
  49.       you wish.  When text is displayed by you, it will have a banner showing
  50.       what node number you are on and your handle.  If handles are disabled,
  51.       PCBoard will use your first name.
  52.  
  53.       Finally, you will be at a Chat Command prompt.  Press (H) or (?) at the
  54.       Chat Command prompt for help on Chat Commands.

  56.       If you press the ENTER key you will enter into Chat Mode with the other
  57.       callers on the system.  Pressing (ESC) will bring back the Chat Command
  58.       prompt.

  62.       Once you are in a channel you may begin typing.  Anyone else in that
  63.       channel will see what you type as you type it.
